The most important feature to score good marks in mathematics examination is a positive attitude towards the subject. If you put up some efforts with a smart approach, you can easily score more. Mathematics helps to develop rational and logical thinking. Here are some of the tips to achieve full marks during the examination.

Stick with Your Syllabus

Understand the syllabus and weightage allotted for each chapter. Practice with syllabus books. If you notice that high scoring students always stick to the textbooks. Because questions are asked from the textbook. Most of the questions are asked from exercise problems given at the end of every chapter. Practice more with those problems.

Learn Formulas and Theorems

Mathematics is full of formulas and theorems. Learn the simple formulas like perimeter and area of two-dimensional shapes, volume and surface area of three-dimensional shapes in geometry and the formulas in chapters like trigonometry, algebra, matrices, etc. Also, learn the theorems in all the chapters which will help you to understand the evolution of the concepts, and you will get to know how the concepts are related to each other.

Practice with Problems

To score good marks in mathematics, practice with previous year question papers. The more you practice, the more you confident of solving the problem. Solving previous year papers are important because it helps to figure out the difficulty level of the questions and you know about your true level of securing marks. Practicing the problems repeatedly help avoid mistakes, and it improves your level of confidence to attempt the questions.
Present Neatly.

Present your answers neatly in the answer sheet. Don’t scribble unnecessarily in the answer sheet. If you want to strike out something, strike it once and start writing your answer in the next line. Leave some after answering each question and underline some important key point. While writing the formulas, and theorems, keep tabs. Present your answer step by step because each step carries a mark. Sometimes if you skip the step in some chapters like vector algebra and matrices, there is a chance to proceed with the incorrect steps, and it becomes the wrong solution for a question. Draw the diagrams and graphs neatly to score full marks.

Time Management

Making use of each and every minute during examinations matters a lot which shows a huge difference in the marks. Practicing more and more helps to improve the ability to write the answer accurately, and it helps to increase the speed.
